Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 20 July 2026

Welcome to The Rakhi Store. These terms and conditions set out the rules for using our website and for buying products from us. By browsing this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, and do get in touch via our Contact page if anything is unclear.

Who we are

The Rakhi Store is operated by Davora Ltd (Company No. 04966565), registered at 135 Heaton Moor Road, Stockport, SK4 4HY, United Kingdom. You can reach us by phone on +44 161 641 0655 or through our Contact page. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Davora Ltd trading as The Rakhi Store.

Using our website

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use it in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it. We work hard to keep the site available and accurate, but we can’t guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may suspend or withdraw parts of it for maintenance or other reasons without notice.

Products and pricing

We take care to describe and picture our products accurately, but slight variations in colour, design, and finish can occur — particularly with handmade and traditional items — so the product you receive may differ a little from the images shown. All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable. We may change prices at any time, but changes won’t affect orders we’ve already confirmed. Although we try to ensure all pricing is correct, if we discover an error in the price of an item you’ve ordered, we’ll contact you before dispatch so you can choose to continue at the correct price or cancel the order.

Placing an order

When you place an order, you’ll receive an email acknowledging that we’ve received it. This acknowledgement does not mean your order has been accepted — a contract between us is only formed once we send you confirmation that your order has been dispatched. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, for example if the item is out of stock, if there’s been a pricing or description error, or if we’re unable to obtain payment authorisation. If we cancel an order you’ve paid for, we’ll refund you in full.

Payment

Payment is taken securely at checkout. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and we do not see or store your full card details. By placing an order you confirm that the payment method used is yours and that you are authorised to use it.

Delivery

We deliver within the United Kingdom. Full details of our delivery services, timescales, and how tracking works are set out on our Delivery Information page. Delivery timescales are estimates and are not guaranteed, though we always aim to get your order to you as quickly as possible.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

As a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order and return items within 14 days of receiving them, alongside your statutory rights if an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described. Full details of how this works, including how to arrange a return and how refunds are handled, are set out in our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, graphics, and page design — is owned by or licensed to Davora Ltd and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, reproduce, or use it for any other purpose without our written permission.

Our liability

We will always meet our legal obligations to you as a consumer. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so — this includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for any failure or delay in meeting our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, postal or courier disruption, or other circumstances beyond our control. Where this happens, we’ll let you know as soon as we can and do our best to minimise any delay.

Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights, and forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or how we operate. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
